Improving and Expanding the SIMcontrol Webflow Website

We partnered with SIMcontrol to improve and expand their existing Webflow website, focusing on technical quality, accessibility, SEO, content structure and the development of new product and learning pages.

The engagement has grown into an ongoing development partnership, with further improvements and new functionality planned as the SIMcontrol website continues to evolve.

Project Overview

SIMcontrol is a South African multi-network SIM management platform built for businesses managing large numbers of connected devices and SIM cards.

The platform gives businesses a central place to manage SIMs across multiple mobile networks, helping them monitor usage, control costs, automate SIM management and maintain reliable connectivity across everything from IoT devices and security systems to payment terminals and fleet tracking solutions.

SIMcontrol already had an established Webflow website when we began working together, so the focus of the project was not a complete rebuild.

Instead, we worked through the existing site to improve its technical structure, accessibility, search visibility and overall content architecture while continuing to add new sections and pages as the business grows.

The Challenge

As the SIMcontrol website had expanded over time, a number of structural and technical improvements were needed.

The site contained inconsistencies in page structure, heading hierarchy, accessibility and reusable components, while certain areas of the website needed to be expanded to better communicate SIMcontrol’s growing range of products and expertise.

Search visibility was another important focus.

With SIMcontrol operating in a specialised and increasingly competitive IoT and business connectivity market, the website needed to clearly explain its products not only to potential customers, but also to traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered search platforms.

The goal was therefore to improve the underlying website while simultaneously expanding its content and strengthening its ability to attract relevant organic traffic.

Our Approach

We began with a detailed website audit and technical assessment of the existing Webflow build.

This allowed us to identify structural, accessibility and SEO issues across the site before implementing improvements systematically.

The work included restructuring page elements so primary content was contained within the correct semantic landmarks, improving heading hierarchies across pages and resolving site-wide inconsistencies.

We also reviewed reusable website elements and corrected issues including duplicated or missing footers, page design inconsistencies, duplicate links serving the same purpose and missing image alternative text.

Alongside these technical improvements, we continued expanding the website with new product pages and educational content.

Technical & Accessibility Improvements

A major part of the engagement involved improving the technical quality and accessibility of the existing Webflow site.

This included:

  • Website audit and technical assessment
  • Restructuring page content into appropriate semantic landmarks
  • Improving logical heading structures across the website
  • Resolving missing and duplicate footer components
  • Correcting page-specific design inconsistencies
  • Fixing identical links serving the same purpose
  • Adding descriptive alternative text to website imagery
  • Reviewing pages for better accessibility and semantic HTML structure
  • Improving overall consistency across the Webflow build

These changes help create a more accessible experience for users while also giving browsers, search engines and assistive technologies a clearer understanding of each page.

SEO & AI Search Optimisation

We also worked on improving how SIMcontrol’s content is understood by both traditional search engines and AI-powered discovery platforms.

This involved refining page structures, headings, content hierarchy and on-page information so SIMcontrol’s products, industries and expertise are clearly represented throughout the website.

The goal was to create content that answers the types of questions potential customers are searching for while building stronger topical relevance around areas such as IoT connectivity, business SIM management, private APNs, prepaid SIM management and roaming connectivity.

The site’s expanded content structure now gives search engines and AI systems substantially more context around what SIMcontrol offers and who its products are designed for.

New Product Pages

As SIMcontrol’s product offering has continued to grow, we have developed new product-focused pages within Webflow to provide more detailed information about individual solutions.

These pages allow SIMcontrol to explain each product in greater depth while creating dedicated landing pages for important commercial search terms.

The growing product architecture includes solutions around:

  • SIMControl Learn pages
  • New Product pages for SIMControl

This approach improves the customer journey while also creating a much stronger organic search footprint around SIMcontrol’s core products.

Building the Learn Section

We also developed a dedicated Learn section to give SIMcontrol a scalable place to publish educational and industry-focused content.

The new structure includes:

  • A central Learn listing page
  • Category-based filtering
  • Individual Learn article templates
  • New article content supplied by the SIMcontrol team
  • A scalable content structure for future SEO growth

This gives SIMcontrol a stronger foundation for ongoing content marketing and allows the website to build authority around topics related to IoT, mobile connectivity, SIM management and business telecommunications.

An Ongoing Webflow Partnership

Our work with SIMcontrol is an ongoing engagement rather than a completed one-off project.

As the company continues to expand its products, markets and content, we continue to support the Webflow website with development, optimisation and new functionality.

Future work will include further website improvements, new product and industry pages, additional SEO-focused content and continued optimisation of the overall user experience.

The Result

The SIMcontrol website now has a stronger technical and content foundation for continued growth.

Accessibility and structural improvements have made the site more consistent and easier to navigate, while new product and learning pages give SIMcontrol significantly more opportunity to communicate its expertise and attract relevant organic traffic.

Rather than treating the website as a finished marketing asset, the project has evolved into an ongoing digital partnership where the site can continue to grow alongside the SIMcontrol business.
